Shark sighting closes Stradbroke beaches
Four beaches on Stradbroke Island off Brisbane have been closed after a shark sighting in the waters off Point Lookout this afternoon.

The two-metre shark forced the closure of Cylinder Beach, Point Lookout, Adder Rock and Deadman's Beach.

Police, National Parks and Wildlife officers and Redland Bay Council are patrolling the area.

A shark attack on the other side of North Stradbroke Island earlier this month claimed the life of a 21-year-old woman.
